On Friday 14th of February 2025, together with various project partners, the discovering hands centre Hamburg opend with the interested participation of the public, representatives of the health sector, non-profit welfare organisations and the initiative of the city of Hamburg. The three MTEs (Medical Tactile Examinors) Caroline Schöniger, Antonia Greifenberg and Tanja Witt are now directly available to all women interested in their breast health in the old Hafenkrankenhaus above the Landungsbrücken, at Seewartenstr. 10 in the old harbour of Hamburg. This will be the first time to have access to this service outside of a medical pratice or clinical setting.The report of the palpation is forwarded to the gynaecologist's practice of the woman's choice. (The final diagnosis remains still a medical decision)!
