Since 2011, MSD has presented the annual Health Award to projects, initiatives and institutions that aim to improve patient care in Germany. Whether digital solutions or personal care, initiatives for prevention or support during an illness - the award recognizes projects that demonstrably make a difference. The MSD Health Prize, which is endowed with a total of 115,000 euros, is awarded to three projects. The jury also has the option of awarding up to four special prizes. Over 60 projects applied for the MSD Health Award 2024. A jury of experienced healthcare experts reviewed all submissions and nominated 10 projects.

The long-standing commitment to the early detection of breast cancer is thus recognized - thanks to the exceptionally finely trained sense of touch of people with visual impairments, discovering hands makes a decisive contribution to early detection and at the same time set a strong example of inclusion in practice.
